Join us for a Cleanup at Damhussøen & the launch of our new children’s book!

We are excited to invite you to a very special day where ocean action meets storytelling. We are officially launching our new children’s book, created to inform and inspire children to care for the ocean. 

Every child participating in the cleanup will receive a FREE copy of the book!

The book is illustrated by Joanna Mugford, written by Sidsel Finderup Trap-Jensen, and concept developed by Regitze Andersen. All three will be present on the day to sign books and meet participants. The story is especially suited for children aged 5 and under, but all children participating are very welcome to receive a copy.

We will start with a short introduction before heading out to collect litter around the lake. With grabbers, buckets and gloves available for everyone, we will clean up together and finish by sorting the waste — citizen science in action!

After the cleanup, Damhuskanten has kindly sponsored soft ice for all children and coffee/tea for all adults participating in the cleanup

Program:
13:00–13:15 – Introduction by the NOW team
13:15–14:45 – Cleanup around Damhussøen
14:45–15:15 – Waste sorting (citizen science in action!)
15:15–15:30 – Group photo
15:30–16:00 – Book signing, free children’s books, soft ice for kids & coffee/tea for adults
