Hello Ocean Lovers and Volunteers,

Join us for a Beach Cleanup at Amager Beachpark as part of the Copenhagen Beach Swim on Saturday, 9th August from 12:15 – 13:30.

We’ll kick things off with Trash Bingo, so bring friends and family to see how much trash you can find and make our oceans cleaner.

12:20 – Meet at the Nordic Ocean Watch beach flag

12:30 – Trash Bingo intro & trash collection

13:00 – Waste sorting & winners announced

Bring along any good-quality towels you no longer use to donate to our partner “Bølgen Blå,” who will upcycle them into beach items.

Hello Ocean Lovers and Volunteers,

Following the great participation from all volunteers last year, we are excited to partner up again with Copenhagen Dragon Boat Festival for a special cleanup on Saturday 21st of June.

The event will take place at South Harbour in Copenhagen where you can participate in our cleanup for free, as always. It is also free to enter the Dragon Boat Festival area all day.
The Dragon Boat Festival is a traditional Asian festival, which has a history of more than 2,000 years. At the festival, you can watch dragon boat practice and races, cheer on your favourite teams, dive into Chinese culture, and experience pan-Asian food and drinks!

Here is the detailed schedule for the cleanup :
13:30 Meet up at the Aalborg University Copenhagen, the water-facing side, 2450, by the Nordic Ocean Watch Banner and welcome by our team
13:30 - 14:30 Cleanup the Dragon Boat Festival area
14:30 - 15:00 Trash sorting and weighing

After our event, you are more than welcome to stay and continue enjoying the Dragon Boat Festival cultural show and performance till 16:00.
