How the afternoon runs:
16:30: We meet at the reception of Scandic CPH Strandpark.
We spend about an hour collecting waste along the waterfront together.
Then we sort and weigh what we've found — citizen science in action!

We finish with a visit to the wellness area of the hotel to unwind together. The full experience takes around 2½ hours. All cleanup equipment is provided. Just dress for the weather and bring a swimsuit for the wellness area.

Join us for a special clean up where we help our oceans and afterwards recharge with a yoga session at the beautiful yoga studio Rocket Shala right by islands Brygge. The yoga class is suitable for everyone, whether you’re a first-timer or have practiced before.

What to bring:
We’ll provide trash bags and gloves for the cleanup, so all you need to bring is your good energy.
Mats, blocks and tea is provided by the yoga studio, you just need comfortable clothes to do yoga in.

We are excited to welcome ocean lovers and volunteers once again. Following the incredible participation over the past two years, we are pleased to announce our renewed partnership with the Copenhagen Dragon Boat Festival for a special cleanup event on Sunday, May 31, the final championship day.

This year, the event will be held at a new location: Island Brygge 37–45. Entry to the festival area is free all day.

As usual, you can enjoy exciting dragon boat races, cheer on your favorite teams, and explore a wide variety of pan-Asian food and drinks from hundreds of booths.

Join us for a Cleanup at Damhussøen & the launch of our new children’s book!

We are excited to invite you to a very special day where ocean action meets storytelling. We are officially launching our new children’s book, created to inform and inspire children to care for the ocean. 

Every child participating in the cleanup will receive a FREE copy of the book!

The book is illustrated by Joanna Mugford, written by Sidsel Finderup Trap-Jensen, and concept developed by Regitze Andersen. All three will be present on the day to sign books and meet participants. The story is especially suited for children aged 5 and under, but all children participating are very welcome to receive a copy.

We will start with a short introduction before heading out to collect litter around the lake. With grabbers, buckets and gloves available for everyone, we will clean up together and finish by sorting the waste — citizen science in action!

After the cleanup, Damhuskanten has kindly sponsored soft ice for all children and coffee/tea for all adults participating in the cleanup

Following the great participation from all volunteers last year, we are excited to partner up again with Copenhagen Dragon Boat Festival for a special cleanup on Saturday 21st of June.

The event will take place at South Harbour in Copenhagen where you can participate in our cleanup for free, as always. It is also free to enter the Dragon Boat Festival area all day.
The Dragon Boat Festival is a traditional Asian festival, which has a history of more than 2,000 years. At the festival, you can watch dragon boat practice and races, cheer on your favourite teams, dive into Chinese culture, and experience pan-Asian food and drinks!
