NOW at Folkemødet 2025: Engaging Democracy and Climate Action

At Folkemødet, citizens and decision-makers come together in the beautiful setting of Bornholm to engage in meaningful dialogue. This unique gathering strengthens Danish democracy by bringing people closer and fostering mutual understanding. Folkemødet is created in collaboration with political parties, grassroots organisations, businesses, and cultural life — all contributing exciting debates, presentations, cultural events, speeches, workshops, and more. Together, we inspire one another and seek solutions to shared societal challenges.

Folkemødet is not just a physical meeting place — it is a democratic ambition and a nationwide festival of democracy. It celebrates conversation, participation, and community.

This year, Nordic Ocean Watch Denmark is proud to participate with a Wild Card event titled “Can Climate Anxiety be Treated with Climate Action?”.

We are so fortunate to have received this opportunity to spark an open and hopeful discussion on how engagement and active climate work can help address the growing climate anxiety many of us feel.

Meet us at Informationsscenen on Friday, June 13th at 9:00 AM. Join us as we explore how turning worry into action can empower individuals and communities.
